How long have you worked in accounting, finance, and/or tech? Recruiting?

I have worked in recruiting for approximately 9 years. I started my recruiting career after earning my JD from the University of Denver before transitioning into legal recruitment.

How were you introduced to the recruiting industry?

After earning my JD, I was introduced to recruiting by a recruiter friend who was also a recovering attorney.

Why do you look forward to working in accounting, finance or tech talent acquisition?

I am looking forward to leveraging my most recent experience working in recruitment for a financial institution. I feel as though I had just begun to dip my toes into the industry while working there. Recruiting for the organization’s executive finance and accounting roles was definitely the most rewarding given the key role finance professionals play to ensure the success of their respective organization.

If you were to provide advice to peers in accounting, finance, or tech seeking to develop their careers, what would it be?

Invest in networking yourself and identifying a good mentor. These two items are key to keeping your options open throughout your career and achieving your desired career goals.

How did you first learn about the DeWinter Group?

Mike Tomasello, one of the DeWinter Group’s founding partners, reached out and ‘recruited’ me.

What are 3 words to describe the DeWinter Group (or your impression thus far)?

  • Fun
  • Empathetic
  • Diverse

How do you plan on developing the DeWinter Group? What are your goals for the coming year?

My goal for the coming year is to network and build lasting relationships in the Bay Area’s accounting and finance community.

How do you plan on practicing the DeWinter Group’s Mission Statement: ‘We Build Our Network One Relationship at a Time’?

Simply put, I feel like I’ve already been living it!
