Q&A WITH JENNA ROSATI

How long have you worked in accounting, finance, and/or tech? Recruiting?

I spent three years working in corporate finance, primarily demand planning and sales reporting. Prior to that, I worked in supply chain.

How were you introduced to the recruiting industry?

By (a very wonderful) accident! I came across the DeWinter Group website and was immediately intrigued by the industry. After some research and great conversation with the DeWinter Group team, I became convinced that this industry is perfect for my passions and aspirations.

Why do you look forward to working in accounting, finance or tech talent acquisition?

Each professional has a unique background and story of their experiences, passions, and goals. I am excited to learn the individual stories of our candidates to be able to help them identify the ideal next step in their journey.

If you were to provide advice to peers in accounting, finance, or tech seeking to develop their careers, what would it be?

Seek out opportunities within your role that push yourself out of your comfort zone, whether it be a specific project, finding a mentor or mentee, or taking on a unique responsibility that may give you a cross-functional experience. Those opportunities enable you to develop and can become a key part of your career journey.

How do you plan on developing the DeWinter Group? What are your goals for the coming year?

Since this is my first experience in recruiting, I am eager to learn quickly and make an impact on the team. My main focus will be to build out my network, shadow experienced team members to learn from them, and constantly evaluate my opportunities to improve in the role.

How do you plan on practicing the DeWinter Group’s Mission Statement: ‘We Build Our Network One Relationship at a Time’?

I have always valued relationships and taken great pride in getting to know others by sharing my authentic self with them. I plan to commit time to each relationship and seek to understand the experiences and goals of each individual I am able to meet.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley?

Tie between getting a sandwich at Zanotto’s/Los Gatos Meats/La Villa after a hike/run and tailgating at Stanford football games.

What did you originally want to be when you grew up?

A sports medicine doctor, with a side gig as a shoe designer for Nike.
