Q&A WITH JEREMY BAUGHMAN

How long have you worked in accounting, finance, and/or tech? Recruiting?

I’ve been working in Accounting and Finance recruiting for almost 2 years.

How were you introduced to the recruiting industry?

I was recruited into a global recruiting firm and started day 1 as a direct-hire Accounting and Finance recruiter.

Why do you look forward to working in accounting, finance or tech talent acquisition?

I truly enjoy building beneficial and valuable relationships with the people in this field. Accounting and Finance is a vital piece to any business and helping to establish and develop high performing teams is especially rewarding.

If you were to provide advice to peers in accounting, finance, or tech seeking to develop their careers, what would it be?

Your network is absolutely key. Each job I’ve held in my career was the product of a LinkedIn or personal connection who created a bridge for me to employment. Keeping in touch with people and making an effort to foster effective relationships and connections can work wonders.

How were you introduced to the DeWinter Group? 

I learned about DeWinter through a referral from a family friend.

How do you plan on developing the DeWinter Group? What are your goals for the coming year?

My goals are to begin establishing a high-quality network of Accounting and Finance professionals in Silicon Valley and the Greater Bay area. I also aim to remain involved and invested in the people I work for and with to prove the quality of work I can provide.

How do you plan on practicing the DeWinter Group’s Mission Statement: ‘We Build Our Network One Relationship at a Time’?

I plan on proving to people that I am someone to be trusted and counted on, that I am someone who values my business partnerships and aims to be a contributing and essential piece of those relationships, and that I am someone who simply knows how to get the job done right.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley?

I like to explore the local state parks.

What did you originally want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be Starting Shortstop for the Chicago Cubs.

What’s your favorite ’90s jam?

Matchbox Twenty – 3AM.
