Q&A WITH STACEY ELDER

How long have you worked in accounting, finance, and/or tech? Recruiting?

I am brand new to the field of accounting, finance, and recruiting.

How were you introduced to the recruiting industry?

I was introduced to the recruiting industry through friends who are currently recruiters and love what they do.

Why do you look forward to working in accounting, finance or tech talent acquisition?

I look forward to helping others seek jobs that they are passionate and excited about. I enjoy building relationships and interacting with others, so I look forward to being able to do that on a daily basis. I am hoping to not only make a positive impact at DeWinter Group but also for others who are seeking new employment opportunities.

If you were to provide advice to peers in accounting, finance, or tech seeking to develop their careers, what would it be?

Always be networking and working on building strong relationships because you never know when a new opportunity will be right around the corner.

How were you introduced to the DeWinter Group? 

I first learned about DeWinter Group through Danielle Tejada, a longtime friend of mine who has been working for DeWinter Group for the past 2 years.

How do you plan on developing the DeWinter Group? What are your goals for the coming year?

I hope to be able to uncover some wonderful, qualified candidates for DeWinter Associates. I want to build strong, long lasting relationships with my team and potential candidates as well. My main goal is to learn as much as I can from a Talent Sourcer position, so that I can understand more about the recruiting industry as a whole.

How do you plan on practicing the DeWinter Group’s Mission Statement: ‘We Build Our Network One Relationship at a Time’?

I plan on taking time to listen to others and pay attention to their wants, needs, and concerns, so that I can best assist them. I plan on following through with everything I say I am going to do and always ask questions if I am unsure about something so I can continuously be learning.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley?

Going to concerts or exploring different cities’ downtown areas and restaurants.

What did you originally want to be when you grew up?

A nurse.

What’s your favorite ’90s jam?

N’SYNC – Tearin’ Up My Heart.
