Sophia graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, Economics, and Accounting. She started her career with two major corporations, Driscoll’s and Granite Construction, and started consulting for larger companies, including Wells Fargo and Lam Research. Sophia has diverse professional experience in Accounting, Finance, Corporate Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Systems Integration. Sophia joined the DeWinter Group in 2016 and has transitioned into Managing Director of the Recruiting side of DeWinter Consulting's Silicon Valley team in October 2021.

Outside of work, Sophia enjoys ballet, musicals, classical films, reading, photography, painting, food, wine, and beer. On the weekends, you will find Sophia hiking in the redwood forest, surfing with the sea otters, climbing tall walls, and practicing yoga. An avid traveler, Sophia has visited numerous amazing world heritage sites in over 20 countries.

Originally from St. Louis, Tracy graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She started her career as an Auditor for Price Waterhouse. After 4 successful years and obtaining her CPA, she left to gain exposure in high tech public companies. Tracy continued her career in the private sector and held various positions ranging from Accounting Manager at a small private startup to a Forensic Accountant at a local CPA firm. Her Accounting background coupled with her love of meeting new people and building relationships has been invaluable over the past 10 years at DeWinter Group. Tracy is currently the Managing Director of the Silicon Valley’s DeWinter Consulting team.

Outside of work, Tracy spends most of her time with family and friends and also enjoys hiking, skiing, and wine tasting.

A Bay Area native, Blake graduated from University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Business Finance minor. He has held various roles in the finance industry, including positions at Consumer Credit Counseling Service of San Francisco and Destination Analysts. From a broker to a counselor, he has always enjoyed learning about new and growing companies and working with people in a team environment. As VP, Managing Director of Consulting Services, Blake is dedicated to the success of his team. He is also dedicated to finding and working with high-caliber finance and accounting clients and candidates throughout the Bay Area.

Outside of work, Blake enjoys staying active outdoors: hiking, biking, tennis, golf. He also takes time to travel and spend time with friends and family.

Lyn, a San Jose native, graduated from San Jose State University with dual concentrations in Accounting and Management Information Systems. She began her career with an internet start–up and participated in their IPO. Lyn also worked in accounting for a national commercial real estate company before joining the audit practice at Mohler, Nixon & Williams (now Moss Adams) and obtaining her CPA. In 2006, she transitioned into direct-hire recruiting for an international staffing firm. Lyn joined the DeWinter Group in 2012 and continues to focus on placing accounting and finance professionals throughout the Bay Area and Silicon Valley.

Hetal brings over 15 years of experience supporting Accounting, Finance, and Human Resource Professionals throughout the Bay Area. His past experience includes working for an international staffing firm, where he was awarded three times for the President's Club merit. His tenure in the industry has allowed him to develop an excellent network and track record. In his prior experience, Hetal started his Accounting career as an Accounting Manager for a private whole distributor. He was instrumental in consolidating accounting processes and reporting for multiple locations and building a team from one to ten employees. Hetal has been in the Silicon Valley for over 30 years.

A Bay Area native, Vicky graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. She spent her early recruiting years at Facebook and Solyndra before joining Robert Half International in San Jose. Over the next 8 years, Vicky was highly regarded as a top producer and excellent manager in the Bay Area. She is a President’s Club winner in management and managed teams in both San Jose and Palo Alto. Her tenure in the industry has allowed her to have a proven track record in providing the highest level quality and service. Vicky continues to maintain a large network of Accounting & Finance Clients and Consultants throughout the Bay Area.

Outside of the office, Vicky enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, exploring the outdoors, dining at new restaurants, baking, and can be found in Lake Tahoe whenever possible.

A South Bay native, Melissa graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, with a minor in Accounting. She started her career as a public accountant at Deloitte and then later joined eBay, working in various Accounting and Finance roles for over a decade. Melissa brings her strong Accounting and Finance expertise into her role as a Senior Director of Recruiting for DeWinter Consulting, building relationships with and matching Bay Area accounting and finance professionals with qualified project-based opportunities around the Bay Area.

Outside of work, she spends time with her husband, son, and 2 dogs.

A native Californian, Karen graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, with a focus on Accounting. She then went on to obtain her MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington. A licensed CPA, Karen started her career in audit/assurance at KPMG and worked in Corporate Finance and Accounting for SGI and Exodos after 5 years in Public Accounting. She first showed interest in recruitment at KPMG and has been recruiting and placing finance and accounting professionals throughout the Bay Area for over 16 years. She was also a top producer at Accountants Inc. and transitioned to boutique Finance and Accounting recruitment in 2007. Karen joined the DeWinter Group in 2012 and is committed to placing top, high-level consulting candidates throughout the Bay Area.

Outside of work, Karen enjoys traveling, swimming, and spending time with her friends and family.

A Bay Area native, Jessica started her career in staffing over ten years ago at Maxim Healthcare Services, a division of the Allegis Group. She then moved on to Robert Half International, where she specialized in Finance and Accounting recruitment and became a two-time Presidents Club winner. Her tenure in the industry has allowed her to develop a strong network of clients and candidates.

A Bay Area native, Chelsea graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, minoring in Human Resources. She kickstarted her career at Premier Talent Partners in recruiting and sales, focusing on Human Resources, Administration, and Operation roles. Chelsea enjoys the recruiting industry because she finds it fulfilling to know that she’s making an impact in someone’s life during a stressful job search. As a Recruiter for DeWinter Consulting’s Silicon Valley office, she is responsible for building relationships with and matching Bay Area accounting and finance professionals with qualified project-based opportunities around the Bay Area.

Outside of work, Chelsea spends most of her time with family and friends. If she is not catching up on her long list of TV shows, she would be at the gym working out.

Originally from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Samantha, or Sami, moved to Tempe, Arizona in 2012 to attend Arizona State University. Upon earning a Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development in 2016, she launched her career as a Behavior Therapist for several behavioral health companies in Texas before relocating to the Bay Area in August 2018. With a little over two years of experience working in the behavioral health field, Sami decided to make a career change and joined the DeWinter Group’s accounting and finance contract and consulting division, DeWinter Consulting, in December 2018. Applying her in-depth knowledge of human behavior, Sami is responsible for identifying Bay Area accounting and finance contractors and matching their skill sets with qualified project-based opportunities around the Bay Area.

Outside of work, she can oftentimes be found playing soccer with friends, traveling, or spending time with her cat and dog, Dovi and Bella.

A Bay Area native, Jasveen graduated from UC Davis in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government. She has spent the last five years working for Kforce as a Talent Director for their Technology and Finance division. Jasveen has been helping others land their dream job and continues her career in recruiting as a Recruiting Manager for the DeWinter Consulting team. Jasveen partners with Silicon Valley clients to develop unique talent acquisition strategies leveraging consultants and contract professionals.

Outside of work, Jasveen enjoys traveling and shopping. She has been to 20 countries and can’t wait to add more to her list.

Originally from San Ramon, Dominique held various positions in office administration and recruitment. Before joining DeWinter Group, she worked as an Operations Specialist, analyzing and improving operational processes to increase overall business relationships. Dominique started off as a Recruiting Coordinator for DeWinter Consulting's San Francisco office and transitioned into recruiting in Silicon Valley, responsible for building relationships with and matching Bay Area accounting and finance professionals with qualified project-based opportunities around the Bay Area.

Outside of work, you can catch Dominique enjoying a walk in the sun across a hiking trail and taking part in her favorite sports. Besides loving the outdoors, she also enjoys relaxing in the comfort of her home.

A South Bay Area native, Mariah Griego-Leon graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. While attending SJSU, Mariah started her career in the customer service industry with a focus on sporting events and concerts. She spent two years with Levi’s Stadium providing the best experience for fans. She later transitioned into the SAP Center, where she worked at the club level, maintaining operations and building relationships. Mariah enters the recruiting world as a Recruiting Coordinator for DeWinter Consulting’s Silicon Valley office. She is responsible for supporting our Consulting Practice with high volume and fast-paced interview activity.

Outside of work, Mariah likes to spend her time with her friends and family. She also enjoys watching baseball and attending concerts.

A Bay Area native, Katy graduated from University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. During her undergraduate career at Ole Miss, she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and played an active role in the Panhellenic community, taking part in various internships, including serving as a contributing writer for the Odyssey and conducting research for a travel-based start-up for JUMP Investors. Katy joined DeWinter Group in 2016, starting off in Staffing before moving into Consulting in 2018. As Director of Recruiting in DeWinter Group’s accounting and finance contract and consulting division, DeWinter Consulting, she is responsible for building relationships with Bay Area accounting and finance professionals seeking part-time and consulting work.

Outside of work, Katy enjoys exploring new cities and the great outdoors, attending sports events, and baking.

A Bay Area native, Amy graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Geography. She continued her education at San Jose State University and received her Master's in Communication Studies. Amy has a strong background in administrative support. Starting her career in recruitment, Amy looks forward to empathetically connecting with people of all different backgrounds while building her network. She joined the Dewinter Group’s contract and contract-to-hire recruitment division, DeWinter Consulting, in July 2021 as a Talent Sourcer, transitioning to Recruiter in January 2022.

Originally from Delano, CA, Charles graduated from California State University, Bakersfield with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Management. Charles has a variety of skills from more than three years of experience in the restaurant, supply-chain, and education industries. He is passionate about helping people find the right job in this ever-changing world. Outside of work, Charles enjoys taking spontaneous trips and having fun outside. He spends his downtime alternating between hiking, weightlifting, and meeting new people.

Gary has served in the U.S. Army with one deployment to Afghanistan. After his military service, he graduated from the University of Maryland where he majored in accounting. Gary started his career as an auditor for Grant Thornton and then transitioned into corporate accounting for a regional restaurant group. Gary had the chance to invest and open a new concept Japanese BBQ restaurant with the same company while surviving the pandemic. Now it is one of the most popular restaurants in Rockville, MD.

Gary is excited to join the DeWinter Consulting team with his unique life experiences. He has a strong belief that teamwork makes the dream work and that life is about daily improvements no matter how small whether it’s improving physically, mentally, financially, or spiritually.

Outside of work, Gary enjoys traveling, hiking, exercising, and eating at restaurants.  On the weekends, you will find Gary spending time with friends at restaurants and outdoor events. Gary has visited and experienced 10 countries and would like to increase that by one each year.

Originally from Riverside, Kelly holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She started off her career working as an Administrative Assistant, supporting multiple partners in the Audit practice at Deloitte. She then spent over a decade at RGP, joining them in an administrative capacity and spending the last 9 years as a Director of Recruiting. Kelly was one of the first hires at DeWinter Group’s San Francisco office and is currently VP of Recruiting for the Consulting division of DeWinter Group.

Outside of work, she enjoys running, catching Warriors’ games, and spending time with her family and friends.

A Marin County native, Tom graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Accounting. He started his career in FP&A at MLA Global for 5 years before joining DeWinter Group. As Director of Consulting, Tom specialized in business development for high-level accounting and finance interim support in the San Francisco Bay Area. When DeWinter Consulting expanded to the East Bay in 2019, Tom moved up to Managing Director for the East Bay team, as well as utilizing his expertise in business development.

Outside of work, Tom stays active by running, playing tennis, hiking, camping, and traveling. He is also a proud fur parent of an Australian Shepherd. Trivia for all the golfers out there: he once got an Albatross, a double eagle on a par 5, the 8th hole at Chambers Bay in Seattle.

Originally from Boston, Sara graduated from Boston College with dual degrees in Applied Psychology and Communications. Shortly after graduation, she moved over to the Bay Area to venture into recruiting at DeWinter Group, attracted to the daily relationship building in her role. Sara joined DeWinter Group in 2015 and is currently our Senior Director of Recruiting for our San Francisco team’s Consulting division.

Outside of work, Sara enjoys staying active through running, cycling, and hiking. She even has a tent on top of her car for spontaneous camping trips. Sara is also a fur parent to her Australian Shepherd, Kaiya.

Originally from Southern California, Joe graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Research and Analytical Methodology. Shortly after graduation, Joe studied at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles to become a certified Audio Technician. He later went on to work with, co-produce, and manage tours for Grammy-winning artists such as Everlast, House of Pain, Hoobastank, and Limp Bizkit. Prior to joining DeWinter Group, Joe worked as a Client Relations Manager for the Finance and Accounting division at Kforce in San Francisco.

Joe enjoys spending his winters snowboarding and his summers traveling to tropical destinations.

Cynthia is an alum of the University of California, Irvine, where she majored in Economics and minored in Accounting. A Bay Area native, Cynthia moved to Oakland after graduating from UC Irvine and obtained her Masters in Taxation at Golden Gate University. She began her career as a tax consultant at Deloitte, specializing in both corporate and partnership taxation.

Cynthia joined DeWinter Group in 2016 and is committed to matching qualified, high-level consulting candidates with the right opportunities in accounting and finance throughout the Bay Area. Outside of recruiting, Cynthia enjoys exploring new places, Latin dancing, and trying out new restaurants.

Originally from Chicago, Tenaya graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. After graduating, she worked as a Case Assistant at an Oakland law firm. She then started at DeWinter Group as a Talent Sourcer, later moving into a Recruiter role. As a Recruiter for DeWinter Consulting’s San Francisco office, she is responsible for building relationships with and matching Bay Area accounting and finance professionals with qualified project-based opportunities around the Bay Area.

Raised in Los Angeles, Rick moved to the Bay Area to attend the University of California, Santa Cruz. After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, he started his career in Business Development with the interactive media division of an international media company in Sunnyvale, CA. Rick then spent two years at a price comparison service firm building multiple business lines as the company grew from a small startup to the world’s largest online comparison shopping site. He was introduced to the recruiting industry in 2004 and has since worked with employers to identify talent acquisition needs and augment recruitment efforts in a variety of industries. As Manager for the DeWinter Group’s contract and consulting division, DeWinter Consulting, Rick applies his 12+ years of experience in recruitment to Bay Area employers’ contract hiring strategy. With an eye for detail and attentiveness to today’s fast-moving hiring demands, he is an invaluable resource for any employer seeking expert guidance.

Outside of work, Rick spends most of his free time with his wife, son, and daughter. He is an avid mountain biker and enjoys competitive tennis when time allows. In addition to his love for the outdoors, you can still sometimes find him putting on his pilot’s hat and flying with friends and family to well known Northern California attractions seen best from a bird’s eye.

A Bay Area native, Maylin graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, minoring in Marketing. She started her career in real estate and has spent the last couple of years learning all about the industry. At Axis Appraisal Management, she worked on the vendor management team, where she helped vet appraisers and onboard them to the internal database as well as assist with the leasing management team. For the past two years, she assisted the top producing agent at a top banking firm along with managing all social media and supporting the team's digital marketing projects. As a Recruiter for DeWinter Consulting’s San Francisco office, she is responsible for building relationships with and matching Bay Area accounting and finance professionals with qualified project-based opportunities around the Bay Area.

Outside of work, Maylin enjoys skiing in Tahoe, hiking at Tennessee Valley, and running around Lake Merritt. When she is not outside being active, she likes to explore restaurants in different cities with friends or go on trips with her boyfriend.

Originally from Guangdong, China, Joey moved to California in 2003. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After graduating, Joey worked as a Behavioral Technician for 2 years at Abrite Organization and Behavioral Health Works. She joined the Dewinter Group’s direct hire recruitment division, DeWinter Associates, in March 2021 as a Talent Sourcer and moved to the consulting division, DeWinter Consulting, in August 2021.

When Joey is not working, she can be found spending time with her two lovely cats, hiking, or enjoying the outdoors. She loves to explore new food adventures and take road trips in search of the next hidden gem.

A Bay Area native, Lauryn graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. Throughout her college career, she developed her career at Starbucks and continued her growth into a Shift Supervisor. Upon graduation, Lauryn decided to pivot her career and became interested in finding a job that fueled her passion for connecting with others. Eager to learn more about the ins and outs of recruiting, Lauryn enters the recruiting world as a Recruiting Coordinator for DeWinter Consulting’s San Francisco office and has now transitioned into recruiting as our Talent Sourcer.

Outside of work, Lauryn can be found creating various works of art - painting, cooking, baking, and sometimes sketching. She loves expressing herself through different mediums and learning a new skill in each art form. Aside from creating, Lauryn spends her downtime relaxing with her dog, Milo.

A Houston native, Thinh graduated from University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. He spent the first ten years of his professional career as an accountant in various industries, including petroleum and commercial real estate. In 2016, he transitioned to the accounting & finance recruiting space, allowing him opportunities to use his skills and experience to further his career. As a Recruiting Manager for the DeWinter Consulting’s San Francisco team. Thinh partners with Bay Area clients to develop unique talent acquisition strategies leveraging consultants and contract professionals. Outside of work, Charles enjoys watching football, basketball, and baseball. He also loves to cook and has played the guitar for over 20 years. Thinh also loves spending time with his dog, Jackson.

Originally from Seattle, Washington, Tyler graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Tyler’s previous experience includes work in the property management and real estate industries and he has a background in fitness, boxing, mixed martial arts, and personal/group fitness training. As a Talent Sourcer, Tyler is excited to bring his passion for relationship building and  tenacity from competing in boxing and MMA to DeWinter Consulting.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys reading sci-fi and high fantasy, listening to music from Ellington to Mac Miller, board game nights with friends, and videogames. When he does get out of the house it is fitness related.

Originally from San Ramon, California, Kay started her career in business development. She spent four years with Robert Half where she held multiple positions within the administrative staffing division and most recently managed that division while being in production. Kay previously worked in the medical aesthetic industry as a practice manager. She was attracted to the recruiting industry for its fast pace, opportunity to connect with new people and because of her passion for delivering excellent customer service and problem-solving.
Outside of work, Kay spends her time enjoying dining, drawing, dancing, traveling, socializing, and spending time with her many pets. During the fair weather months in Portland, Oregon, where she’s based, she hikes, camps and forages for mushrooms with her husband.

Originally from Los Angeles, Josiah graduated from New Hope Christian College with Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, Ministry Leadership. Josiah first stepped into the staffing and recruiting industry at Century Group as an Associate Director of Client Services. Prior to Century Group, Josiah worked as a District Manager for ADP, LCC , where he was named regional rookie of the year, MVP, and subsequently selected for their renowned Leadership Development Program. During that time, he was also selected to pioneer new banking partnerships, regional CPA firms, and additional multi-million dollar corporations, driving revenue and demonstrating an allegiance to excellence.

As Manager of Consulting Services, Josiah is excited to bring his passion for connecting with candidates, clients, and co-workers to DeWinter Consulting. He looks forward to creating a better reality for all players involved in the staffing process and finds that there's nothing quite as rewarding as being in an industry where you can help others achieve their goals on a daily basis.

Outside of work, you can find Josiah on the basketball court or golf course, enjoying a new brewery or traveling for a weekend adventure. He loves playing games, spending quality time with friends and family, and making the most of every moment.

Originally from Santa Cruz, California, Angelina graduated from California Polytechnic State University, SLO with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration.

Over the past several years, she’s worked in various industries including social media marketing, administrative assistance, and childcare. In all of these professions, she’s demonstrated strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and become well-attuned to utilizing various tools and platforms. As a Recruiting Coordinator with DeWinter Consulting, she’s excited to bring her passion for communicating with people and skills in active listening to the team.

Outside of work, Angelina enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, going to the park and walking along the beach. She’s also a foodie and loves cooking, trying out new recipes and discovering wonderful restaurants. Angelina loves to spend time with family and friends and tries to incorporate into her life as much as possible.
