Sophia graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, Economics, and Accounting. She started her career with two major corporations, Driscoll’s and Granite Construction, and started consulting for larger companies, including Wells Fargo and Lam Research. Sophia has diverse professional experience in Accounting, Finance, Corporate Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Systems Integration. Sophia joined the DeWinter Group in 2016 and has transitioned into Managing Director of the Recruiting side of DeWinter Consulting's Silicon Valley team in October 2021.

Outside of work, Sophia enjoys ballet, musicals, classical films, reading, photography, painting, food, wine, and beer. On the weekends, you will find Sophia hiking in the redwood forest, surfing with the sea otters, climbing tall walls, and practicing yoga. An avid traveler, Sophia has visited numerous amazing world heritage sites in over 20 countries.

Originally from St. Louis, Tracy graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She started her career as an Auditor for Price Waterhouse. After 4 successful years and obtaining her CPA, she left to gain exposure in high tech public companies. Tracy continued her career in the private sector and held various positions ranging from Accounting Manager at a small private startup to a Forensic Accountant at a local CPA firm. Her Accounting background coupled with her love of meeting new people and building relationships has been invaluable over the past 10 years at DeWinter Group. Tracy is currently the Managing Director of the Silicon Valley’s DeWinter Consulting team.

Outside of work, Tracy spends most of her time with family and friends and also enjoys hiking, skiing, and wine tasting.

Originally from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Samantha, or Sami, moved to Tempe, Arizona in 2012 to attend Arizona State University. Upon earning a Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development in 2016, she launched her career as a Behavior Therapist for several behavioral health companies in Texas before relocating to the Bay Area in August 2018. With a little over two years of experience working in the behavioral health field, Sami decided to make a career change and joined the DeWinter Group’s accounting and finance contract and consulting division, DeWinter Consulting, in December 2018. Applying her in-depth knowledge of human behavior, Sami is responsible for identifying Bay Area accounting and finance contractors and matching their skill sets with qualified project-based opportunities around the Bay Area.

Gary has served in the U.S. Army with one deployment to Afghanistan. After his military service, he graduated from the University of Maryland where he majored in accounting. Gary started his career as an auditor for Grant Thornton and then transitioned into corporate accounting for a regional restaurant group. Gary had the chance to invest and open a new concept Japanese BBQ restaurant with the same company while surviving the pandemic. Now it is one of the most popular restaurants in Rockville, MD.

Gary is excited to join the DeWinter Consulting team with his unique life experiences. He has a strong belief that teamwork makes the dream work and that life is about daily improvements no matter how small whether it’s improving physically, mentally, financially, or spiritually.

As Director of Consulting, Tom specialized in business development for high-level accounting and finance interim support in the San Francisco Bay Area. When DeWinter Consulting expanded to the East Bay in 2019, Tom moved up to Managing Director for the East Bay team, as well as utilizing his expertise in business development.

Outside of work, Tom stays active by running, playing tennis, hiking, camping, and traveling. He is also a proud fur parent of an Australian Shepherd. Trivia for all the golfers out there: he once got an Albatross, a double eagle on a par 5, the 8th hole at Chambers Bay in Seattle.

After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, he started his career in Business Development with the interactive media division of an international media company in Sunnyvale, CA. Rick then spent two years at a price comparison service firm building multiple business lines as the company grew from a small startup to the world’s largest online comparison shopping site. Originally from San Ramon, California, Kay started her career in business development. She spent four years with Robert Half where she held multiple positions within the administrative staffing division and most recently managed that division while being in production. Kay previously worked in the medical aesthetic industry as a practice manager. She was attracted to the recruiting industry for its fast pace, opportunity to connect with new people and because of her passion for delivering excellent customer service and problem-solving.
Outside of work, Kay spends her time enjoying dining, drawing, dancing, traveling, socializing, and spending time with her many pets. During the fair weather months in Portland, Oregon, where she’s based, she hikes, camps and forages for mushrooms with her husband.

Originally from Los Angeles, Josiah graduated from New Hope Christian College with Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, Ministry Leadership. Josiah first stepped into the staffing and recruiting industry at Century Group as an Associate Director of Client Services. Prior to Century Group, Josiah worked as a District Manager for ADP, LCC , where he was named regional rookie of the year, MVP, and subsequently selected for their renowned Leadership Development Program. During that time, he was also selected to pioneer new banking partnerships, regional CPA firms, and additional multi-million dollar corporations, driving revenue and demonstrating an allegiance to excellence.

As Manager of Consulting Services, Josiah is excited to bring his passion for connecting with candidates, clients, and co-workers to DeWinter Consulting. He looks forward to creating a better reality for all players involved in the staffing process and finds that there's nothing quite as rewarding as being in an industry where you can help others achieve their goals on a daily basis.

Outside of work, you can find Josiah on the basketball court or golf course, enjoying a new brewery or traveling for a weekend adventure. He loves playing games, spending quality time with friends and family, and making the most of every moment.

Originally from Santa Cruz, California, Angelina graduated from California Polytechnic State University, SLO with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration.

Over the past several years, she’s worked in various industries including social media marketing, administrative assistance, and childcare. In all of these professions, she’s demonstrated strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and become well-attuned to utilizing various tools and platforms. As a Recruiting Coordinator with DeWinter Consulting, she’s excited to bring her passion for communicating with people and skills in active listening to the team.

Outside of work, Angelina enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, going to the park and walking along the beach. She’s also a foodie and loves cooking, trying out new recipes and discovering wonderful restaurants. Angelina loves to spend time with family and friends and tries to incorporate into her life as much as possible.
