Job Summary:
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable APIs that power our applications and integrations. This role requires a strong understanding of API design principles, development best practices, and experience with various technologies. You will work collaboratively with other engineers and product teams to deliver high-quality API solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using [mention specific technologies like Node.js, Python, Java, etc.].
- Implement API security measures, including authentication and authorization.
- Develop and maintain API documentation using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues in production environments.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Implement and maintain automated tests for APIs.
- Experience Level: Mid to Senior (3+ years of relevant experience).
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, Go).
- Experience with designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of API security best practices (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
- Familiarity with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI).
- Understanding of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- $40 - $70 per hour
