Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Boston, MA
Pay Range: $50 - 75 per hour
Position Summary:
The Finance Manager will oversee financial planning, analysis, reporting, and controls to support the company’s financial health and strategic goals. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of finance operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports including profit & loss, balance sheets, cash flow, and variance analysis.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts in partnership with department heads.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings.
- Support strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and scenario analysis to senior management.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions as needed.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a management capacity.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in ERP and financial software such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or QuickBooks.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
