REPORT TO: 

Job Title: Financial Reporting Manager
Location: Boston, MA
Pay Range: $50 - 75 per hour

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Manager to oversee the preparation and accuracy of our company's financial statements and technical reporting processes (SEC/SOX). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance, coupled with excellent leadership skills to manage and guide the reporting team effectively.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Manage the external financial reporting process, including quarterly and annual filings with regulatory bodies, ensuring adherence to SEC reporting standards (if applicable) and other statutory requirements.
Coordinate and facilitate the internal and external audit process, collaborating with auditors to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure the timely completion of audits.
Develop and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard financial data integrity and compliance with accounting standards.
Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making purposes.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, assess their impact on financial reporting, and implement necessary changes or disclosures.
Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality and accurate reporting.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, including experience with SEC reporting for publicly traded companies (if applicable).
Strong knowledge and application of GAAP, SEC regulations, and other accounting principles.
Experience managing the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures for external reporting purposes.
Proficiency in financial reporting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
