Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing
manufacturing processes to produce vacuum robotics and other key products.
Responsibilities and Deliverables:
? Provide technical expertise to the production floor. Coordinate with Manufacturing Manager to solve
daily production issues.
? Author Work Instructions, develop workflows and improve operations in the Manufacturing Execution
System (MES).
? Design, validate and maintain production fixtures and tooling
? Leads the development and deployment of new processes, methods, and production controls.
? Develop new production facility. Work with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Supply
Chain, Facilities) to ensure factory readiness.
? Work with the Quality team to lead all process validation / documentation efforts. Co-authors
PMFECA, PPAP, Process Flow, and other documentation.
? Participate in MRB activities, and support the evaluation and investigation of non-conforming
material.
? Maintain equipment calibration and preventative maintenance records
? Participate as internal auditor for ISO, Participate on Safety committee
Skills Required:
? Communicate with a wide range of individuals, both internal and external to the company.
? A broad range of engineering skills, understanding mechanical and electrical concepts, knowledge of
manufacturing methods and practices, and working with design documents controlled by
specifications and geometric tolerances
? Strong analytical skills
? Excellent problem-solving skills
? Solid modeling experience SolidWorks preferred
? Hands on manufacturing experience, use of hand tools, electrical assembly and test equipment.
Experience Required:
? 5+ years of Direct hands-on Manufacturing experience
? 3+ years of NPI, production floor layout, daily production support
? Commissioning, deploying and supporting equipment purchase and production bring up.
? In depth knowledge of lean and six-sigma principles and tools; flow design, kanban, cycle time, takt
time, line balancing, constraint theory, kaizen, 6S, demand flow, CpK, and DOE
Other Requirements:
? Required approx. 10% travel to supplier locations which include local, domestic and international
location
? Work is active in nature, and will require standing, walking, grasping, and lifting/moving up to 25
pounds.
Education Required:
? Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred but Associate’s acceptable with experience
