Job Summary:
This role involves the development and refinement of mechanical components and systems from initial concept through to production. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles, advanced proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, and a strong drive to create practical and effective engineering solutions. The role requires active participation in the full product development life cycle, ensuring designs meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical parts and assemblies utilizing CAD software.
- Generate detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Conduct simulations, analyses, and testing to validate design functionality and performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance, to ensure design feasibility and successful implementation.
- Identify and resolve design challenges, provide technical support, and implement design modifications as needed.
- Participate in design review meetings, offer constructive feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in mechanical design and development.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software packages (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Pay rate: $53 - $73 per hour.
