JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join their finance team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for all domestic team members. This critical role ensures that employees are compensated in a timely and accurate manner.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Payroll Processing:
- Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including full-time, part-time, and contract staff.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Verify and process any necessary payroll adjustments, such as bonuses, overtime, and deductions.

- Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records for all employees.
- Generate reports related to payroll data for internal and external stakeholders, as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll-related financial statements and reports.

- Benefits Administration:
- Coordinate with HR and benefits providers to ensure accurate processing of benefits deductions and contributions.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee programs.

- Compliance and Auditing:
- Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local requirements.
- Prepare and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits related to payroll.

- Communication and Support:
- Respond promptly and courteously to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless communication and processes related to payroll.

Education or Experience (in years):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably in a financial services setting.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Excellent understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Payroll Manager
Pay Range: $30-$40 per hour
Compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. Our full-time Consultants have access to benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401K as well as PTO, sick leave, and other benefits mandated by localities where they reside or work.
