Job Title:  Revenue Accounting Manager

Location:  San Francisco, CA (Hybrid, 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Revenue Accounting Manager to spearhead our revenue recognition processes and ensure financial integrity. This pivotal role will involve meticulous oversight of revenue streams, adherence to accounting standards (ASC 606), and the delivery of precise financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a deep-seated knowledge of revenue accounting methodologies, exceptional analytical capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to mentor and guide a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage and refine the revenue accounting cycle, encompassing revenue recognition, billing procedures, and accounts receivable management.
  • Guarantee strict compliance with ASC 606 guidelines and all relevant financial regulations.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of revenue agreements to ascertain and apply appropriate revenue recognition methodologies.
  • Supervise the closing activities for monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external audit activities related to revenue.
  • Initiate and implement improvements to streamline revenue accounting processes and enhance accuracy.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving accounting standards and regulatory changes affecting revenue recognition.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in revenue accounting, with a comprehensive understanding of ASC 606.
  • Proven track record in leading a team and managing complex revenue accounting operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and revenue recognition principles.
  • Proficiency in various accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Oracle Financials, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including sophisticated data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Salary:
  • $150,000 - $200,000 annually.
