Senior System Administrator, Infrastructure

Job Summary:
You will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our core infrastructure systems. This role requires a deep understanding of system administration best practices, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the organization's server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux).
- Design, implement, and support network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and security patches.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to support various projects and initiatives.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Strong experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
- Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and backup/recovery strategies.
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Understanding of security best practices and vulnerability management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- $50 - $65 per hour
