Job Summary:
This role is focused on the development and execution of comprehensive test plans for complex embedded software systems, particularly within the advanced technology sector. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in software testing methodologies, experience guiding small teams, and a solid understanding of communication protocols and interfaces commonly found in sophisticated embedded systems.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts for embedded software.
- Guide and support small testing teams, ensuring streamlined and effective testing operations.
- Conduct both manual and automated testing procedures to pinpoint defects and uphold software quality standards.
- Examine test outcomes, record defects, and monitor issue resolution progress.
- Partner with development teams to grasp requirements and offer input on design and functionality.
- Drive continuous enhancements to testing methodologies and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in leading small software testing teams.
- Background in testing embedded software for advanced technological applications.
- Familiarity with communication protocols and interfaces used in sophisticated embedded systems (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, SERDES).
- Proficiency with test automation tools and scripting languages.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Pay rate: $55 - $80 per hour.
