This will sit on a brand-new team for a new electronic trading platform they are building. Hiring 12 engineers all on contract (4 SDET’s and 8 Java/React Developers). 2 leads in NYC and the rest near Mexico City area where the CTO is from.

Our client, a leader in the FinTech industry, is looking for a skilled Senior or Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer using Java and React to join their team. This project involves building and maintaining a high-performance, next-generation electronic trading platform. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Platform Development: Work with a team of engineers to build and maintain the proprietary electronic trading platform.
- Modernization: Use modern tools and methods to expand the capabilities of their cloud-based application.
- Knowledge Transfer: Help transition the development of the platform to the in-house team.
- Solution Collaboration: Partner with product teams to develop solutions for current and future customers.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering and data-related technologies.
- Deep expertise in Java(ideally Java 21) with Spring Boot and React with TypeScript. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with multithreading design patterns, relational databases, SQL, and building cloud-based applications.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
- Experience with electronic trading systems and Fixed Income markets is a significant plus.
