Title: AI Agent Architect
Job Type: Contract
Contract Length: 12 months
Pay Range: $50-175/hr
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Remote

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in AI solutions and technology, is looking for a skilled AI Agent Architect to join their team for a [Contract Duration] engagement. This project involves designing and deploying autonomous AI agentic workflows to automate multi-step business processes. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and deploying autonomous agentic workflows using frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGPT to automate multi-step business processes.
  • Building and maintaining custom tool-calling integrations (Function Calling) that allow LLMs to interact securely with internal APIs and databases.
  • Optimizing state management and long-term memory for AI agents to ensure consistency over complex, multi-turn tasks.
  • Implementing error-handling and "human-in-the-loop" protocols to manage non-deterministic AI outputs and hallucinations.
  • Collaborating with product teams to translate high-level automation goals into executable technical agent architectures.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 3+ years of experience in software automation or AI development.
  • Deep expertise in Python, LangChain, and API orchestration. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Experience with Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate), Git version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
