AI Use Case Builder (Artifacts, Apps & Visualizations)
Overview
Turn ambitious ideas into remarkable, working AI experiences. We’re seeking a highly autonomous AI Use Case Builder to create interactive artifacts, web applications, data visualizations, simulations, and games powered by modern large language models and agentic workflows.
In this hands-on, 0-to-1 role, you’ll transform trending topics, complex concepts, and raw ideas into polished, social-media-worthy technical builds. You’ll work across ideation, prototyping, engineering, and deployment—using AI, modern web technologies, external APIs, real-time data, and specialized tools to create experiences that are both technically impressive and engaging.
This is an engineering and builder role focused on code, interactive interfaces, and technical prototypes—not video or social media production.
What You’ll Do
- Ideate and develop compelling AI use cases, interactive artifacts, mini-apps, simulations, data visualizations, and games.
- Take concepts from an ambiguous starting point to a functional, deployed experience with minimal design or project management support.
- Use LLMs, developer tools, agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, and automation to accelerate development.
- Build responsive, engaging user experiences with dynamic visualizations, real-time data integrations, interactive controls, and lightweight game mechanics.
- Integrate external tools, production datasets, specialized APIs, 3D and rendering engines, and other technologies that extend the capabilities of AI models.
- Set up subscriptions and API access as needed for data, services, and production workflows.
- Generate synthetic data when appropriate to support prototypes and demonstrations.
- Make thoughtful technical and creative trade-offs to balance performance, usability, visual impact, and engagement.
- Rapidly prototype and deploy live builds using platforms such as Vercel, Netlify, or Cloudflare.
- Independently evaluate whether a completed artifact is polished, distinctive, and compelling enough to stand out.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to build and ship interactive, functional software experiences end to end.
- Strong proficiency with modern frontend and backend development, including:
- TypeScript or JavaScript
- React and/or Next.js
- Python
- Tailwind CSS
- REST and/or WebSocket APIs
- Practical experience building with modern LLM APIs and AI developer tooling.
- Experience with prompt engineering, agentic loops, multi-agent workflows, and/or RAG pipelines.
- Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as Claude Code, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LangGraph, or comparable open-source agent frameworks.
- Ability to rapidly prototype and deploy a working artifact under tight timelines.
- Strong technical judgment and the ability to make independent implementation decisions.
- High agency, resourcefulness, and comfort working from ambiguous prompts or emerging concepts.
- Ability to create polished interactive user interfaces and data-driven experiences.
- A public portfolio is required, including 2–3 links to impressive AI-powered artifacts, deployed applications, data visualizations, games, interactive demos, or open-source repositories.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience integrating 3D, rendering, CAD, or specialized creative tools and APIs.
- Familiarity with tools such as Blender, Three.js, Unreal Engine, FreeCAD, Minecraft modding tools, or other 3D and simulation platforms.
- Experience working with real-time data sources, digital archives, telescope or scientific datasets, production APIs, or other specialized data.
- Experience generating and working with synthetic datasets.
- Background building games, simulations, interactive maps, visual storytelling experiences, or other highly visual applications.
- Experience rapidly deploying prototypes through Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare, or similar platforms.
- Ability to identify emerging topics and translate them into technically ambitious, engaging builds.
- Experience developing under severe time constraints while maintaining a high standard of polish and performance.
Preferred Education and Experience
- A formal degree is not specified for this role; demonstrated capability through shipped work and a strong portfolio is highly valued.
- Preferred candidates will have substantial hands-on experience building AI-powered applications, interactive prototypes, web artifacts, visualizations, or games.
- Experience taking projects from concept through live deployment independently is strongly preferred.
- Equivalent practical experience, technical experimentation, and exceptional proof of work may substitute for formal education.
Other Requirements
- Work arrangement: Remote, part-time.
- Engagement: Three-month contract with potential to extend.
- Candidates must be able to provide 2–3 public links to completed or active projects.
- Portfolio submissions should demonstrate end-to-end ownership, technical depth, interactivity, and visual or functional quality.
- Candidates should be prepared to describe the LLMs, frameworks, APIs, and developer tools they use, as well as how they rapidly prototype and deploy AI-powered artifacts.
- No travel or certifications are specified for this role.
