AP Operations & Systems Lead

Overview
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to lead their AP operations and systems. You will be responsible for managing daily AP workflows, troubleshooting system issues, and spearheading system improvements that ensure efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls. Your technical background and leadership will be vital in optimizing procure-to-pay systems, automating workflows, and supporting continuous process enhancements. This role provides a unique opportunity to impact a growing company's financial operations directly.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience with a strong understanding of procure-to-pay cycles
- 2+ years supporting ERP systems, AP automation, or financial systems (experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Odoo is a plus)
- Technical proficiency in systems configuration, approval workflows, and system troubleshooting
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to handle escalations effectively
- Experience in process improvement and automation initiatives
- Demonstrated leadership or managerial experience at supervisor or manager level
Nice to Have Skills
- Familiarity with Odoo systems
- Knowledge of audit and internal control procedures
- Certifications such as CPA, CMA, or PMP are advantageous but not required
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Information Systems
- Prior experience supporting or implementing ERP systems in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
- Experience working onsite in Palo Alto or similar tech hubs
Other Requirements
- This position requires onsite presence 5 days a week in Palo Alto
- Ability to troubleshoot technical system issues and partner with IT and vendors for system upgrades and enhancements
- Focused on seamless day-to-day operations with an eye for continuous improvement
