About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in the FinTech industry, is looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join their team for a 1-year engagement. This project involves building multi-layered permission role integrations, an auto-remediation and exception management engine, a highly performant search engine, and highly concurrent, robust, and self-healing batch processing systems. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Building multi-layered permission role integrations with consensus and policies.
  • Building an auto-remediation and exception management engine supporting fund flows.
  • Building a highly performant search engine with sub-millisecond latency as a key goal.
  • Building highly concurrent, robust, and self-healing batch processing systems.
  • Focusing on backend development, distributed systems, payments, money movement, and workflow orchestration.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 6+ years of experience working with distributed systems.
  • Experience serving as a senior engineer for a small to medium-sized team.
  • Experience in platformization.
  • A passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together.
  • The ability to write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
