About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in Autonomous Vehicles, is looking for a skilled BI Engineer to join their team for a 6+ months engagement. This project involves developing the data infrastructure for IoT Networking to translate complex telematics and cellular data into actionable business intelligence for their mission-critical vehicle fleet. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Connectivity Data Strategy: Partner directly with IoT Networking and Engineering teams to define and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for 4G/5G SA network health, Private APN performance, and overall vehicle connectivity quality.
- Data Pipeline Ownership: Develop, implement, and manage robust, scalable ETL pipelines, including the ingestion, transformation, and modeling of high-volume, real-time data from various vehicle systems and carrier connectivity logs.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Develop and maintain critical visualizations and dashboards using tools like Databricks or Looker that provide real-time insights into network availability, latency, carrier cost analysis, and connectivity usage trends.
- Deep Dive Analytics: Conduct complex ad-hoc analysis to troubleshoot network anomalies, diagnose recurring connectivity failures, and investigate data usage irregularities.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation for data models, schema, and metric definitions, ensuring data literacy across the organization.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 6+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Deep expertise in SQL, dbt, building dimensional models, and proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with strong collaboration skills to partner with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver impactful data solutions.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
