Billing Manager

Join a cutting-edge AI software company at the forefront of enterprise intelligence as a Billing Manager, where your leadership will directly impact revenue operations during a critical growth phase. This fully remote, interim role offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end billing processes, guide a dedicated team, and collaborate across functions to ensure seamless revenue and accounts receivable management. If you thrive in fast-paced, technically complex environments and possess strong leadership skills, this is your chance to make a significant impact.

What You’ll Own:

  • Lead end-to-end billing operations for a SaaS and consumption-based product portfolio.
  • Manage full accounts receivable cycle, from invoice generation to collections, maintaining optimal DSO performance.
  • Serve as the primary contact for billing inquiries and resolve disputes efficiently.
  • Oversee billing system administration (NetSuite, Salesforce, Tesorio) and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, and Legal to review order forms and ensure billing accuracy at contract execution.
  • Monitor and report on AR aging, cash flow, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Identify billing anomalies, system or process gaps, and develop temporary solutions.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in billing, AR, or revenue accounting, preferably in high-growth SaaS or tech environments.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS and usage-based billing models.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and billing platforms such as Zuora or Stripe Billing.
  • Proven leadership experience, capable of guiding and developing team members.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel; familiarity with SQL or BI tools is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to translate complex billing issues for non-finance stakeholders.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • CPA or similar accounting credentials, especially with revenue recognition expertise.
  • Experience with billing system migrations, pricing model transitions, or enterprise contract billing.
  • Exposure to AI, developer tools, or infrastructure software companies.
  • Support experience at a high-growth inflection point.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in billing, AR, or revenue operations, ideally in SaaS or high-tech firms.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have hands-on experience with NetSuite.
  • Ability to operate independently in a remote, fast-moving environment.
  • Start as soon as possible to backfill a critical leadership role.

This dynamic opportunity allows you to apply your billing expertise while shaping revenue operations at a market-leading AI company.
