Contract Position Overview: The Billing & Revenue Operations Specialist is responsible for the integrity of the billing lifecycle and the accuracy of revenue recognition. This role requires a high degree of technical proficiency in Maxio to manage complex contract structures, subscription models, and volume-based billing. Core Responsibilities:
- Billing Administration: Execute end-to-end billing operations for subscription and usage-based customer portfolios, ensuring all invoices align strictly with executed contract terms.
- System Management: Utilize Maxio to maintain complex product catalogs and multi-SKU configurations, ensuring correct pricing logic and bundling across all subscriptions.
- Revenue Lifecycle Maintenance: Manage the administrative lifecycle of customer accounts, including processing renewals, mid-term subscription adjustments, cancellations, and credit memos.
- Process Engineering: Develop and implement scalable billing workflows, including the creation of Excel-based data upload templates and the enhancement of PowerBI dashboards for executive reporting.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Support month-end and quarter-end closing processes by reconciling billing data and providing necessary inputs for SaaS financial metrics (ARR, backlog, and churn).
- Accounts Receivable Oversight: Monitor AR aging reports, identify discrepancies, and manage professional collections efforts to ensure timely cash flow.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate billing or accounting, specifically within the SaaS or subscription technology sector.
- Technical Expertise: Direct experience with Maxio (SaaSOptics) is a firm requirement.
- Data Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data modeling) and experience with PowerBI.
- Competencies: Strong analytical reasoning, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently in a high-volume environment.
