Job Type: Contract
Contract Length: 1 Year (with potential for conversion to full-time)
Target Start Date: ASAP
Work Location/Structure: Redwood City, CA – Hybrid (Tues/Wed/Thurs onsite)
About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the Technology industry, is looking for a skilled Business Analyst (Applications) to join their team for a 1-year engagement (with a potential to convert to a permanent role). This project involves supporting a portfolio of business applications, primarily SharePoint, and acting as a generalist to assist various business groups with application administration, workflows, and process improvements. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- SharePoint Site Administration: Provide administration and support for SharePoint sites, including creating new sites, managing permissions, configuring workflows, and performing cleanup projects.
- Application Support: Support smaller departmental business applications (e.g., contract management system, data room software) and assist with migrations or replacements.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with business stakeholders across multiple functions (Finance, HR, Legal, Clinical Ops, etc.) to understand processes and requirements.
- Application Rollout: Assist in the rollout of new applications, including ticketing systems and replacements for existing tools.
- Workflow Translation: Translate business needs into workflows, documentation, and light configuration within supported apps.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Application Analyst.
- Deep expertise in SharePoint administration (site creation, permissions, workflows). Tableau administration experience is a strong plus. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with supporting small to mid-size business applications (not large-scale ERP/CRM) and a strong ability to understand business processes and translate them into simple workflows or configurations.
- Strong communication skills and excellent stakeholder engagement skills to work across multiple departments.
