About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the life sciences and laboratory technology space, is looking for a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join their team for a 1-year contract engagement. This project involves the analysis and documentation of complex software projects and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running, act as a technical liaison between business and IT, and deliver detailed requirements to development teams.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful execution of systems-related analytical activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Requirements Analysis: Leading requirements meetings with analysts and end-users to break down product requirements into detailed work categories and user interactions.
- Documentation: Creating comprehensive requirements documents, including use cases, flow diagrams, detailed business rules, and system design specifications (user stories, screen shots, and UI documents).
- Technical Liaison: Serving as the bridge between business clients, IT Infrastructure, and development groups to ensure technical feasibility and project alignment.
- Translation: Analyzing business needs and translating them into technical configurations that guide developer programming and configuration work.
- Agile Participation: Actively participating in Agile ceremonies, including Scrum stand-up calls and sprint planning.
- Relationship Building: Developing strong relationships with business partners and vendors to ensure successful system implementations and application upgrades.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5–7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
- Demonstrated experience implementing software projects and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS); pharmaceutical or clinical background is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience with tools including Azure DevOps, Modern Requirements, and Microsoft Tooling.
- Strong analytical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
