The Collections Specialist manages the recovery process for commercial, residential, and consumer loan portfolios. This role is critical in minimizing delinquency and maintaining the bank's financial health through proactive communication, meticulous record-keeping, and strict adherence to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management: Oversee collection activities for diverse loan types by analyzing past-due reports and initiating professional outreach to borrowers.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with Commercial Loan Officers to resolve complex or high-value delinquencies.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure all collection efforts strictly align with federal/state regulations and internal bank policies.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor daily maintenance reports for accuracy, track bankruptcies, and manage the lifecycle of maturing or matured loans.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation for the commercial and consumer lending sectors.
- Customer Service: Act as a primary point of contact for borrower inquiries, providing clear and helpful resolutions.
- Experience: 1–3 years in bank lending or loan servicing.
- Education: Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in core banking systems and Microsoft Office.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
