Job Title: Controller – Contract-to-Hire Opportunity (Remote, North Bay Meetings)

Required Skills:
- Minimum 7+ years of accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or Senior Accounting Manager capacity
- Strong expertise in month-end close, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash management
- Proven ability to prepare and coordinate audits with external auditors
- Experience managing and improving accounting systems and processes during company growth
- Familiarity with enterprise software or SaaS financial metrics such as ARR, customer retention, subscription revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and hardware pass-through
- Hands-on operational leader with the ability to partner closely with sales and manufacturing teams across time zones
- Proficiency in Sage/Intacct or similar accounting software
- CPA preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of coaching and supervising teams
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in managing complex supply chain coordination and deal desk support
- Knowledge of international accounting standards or multi-currency finance operations
- Familiarity with software and hardware integration within cloud storage solutions
- Prior experience working in high-growth, venture-backed, or AI-related technology companies
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- 7+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience, ideally within SaaS or enterprise software companies
- Prior experience in a remote work environment is highly valued
Other Requirements:
- This is a 100% remote position with occasional meetings (1-2 times per month) in the North Bay area
- Immediate start available, with a target start date of 05/04/2024
- Contract duration with potential to convert to full-time
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: approximately $200,000 (flexible upward based on experience)
- Bonus of 20% plus additional incentives contingent on company milestones and potential acquisition
