Cost Accounting Manager – Drive Financial Excellence in High-Growth Manufacturing

As a Cost Accounting Manager, you’ll lead the refinement of cost processes, collaborate across departments, and deliver strategic insights that amplify operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize cost accounting workflows within NetSuite, supporting cutting-edge semiconductor and hardware production.
  • Establish and oversee standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead, analyzing variances to inform strategic decisions.
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to accurately model costs, understanding project scope, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting efforts in collaboration with FP&A, ensuring financial alignment.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, and obsolescence reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvements to scale cost processes as the business accelerates growth.
  • Contribute to non-cost projects as needed, leveraging your cross-functional influence.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
  • 8+ years of cost accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years within the semiconductor industry.
  • Proven expertise with ERP systems, ideally NetSuite.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, capable of managing complex datasets.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with financial automation tools and process improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, valuation, and obsolescence strategies.
  • Strong communication skills to influence cross-departmental teams.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing cost accounting, specifically within high-tech or semiconductor sectors.

Other Requirements

  • Hybrid work arrangement (3 days/week onsite in Mountain View).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and influence team processes.
