Job Title:  Creative Project Manager
Job Type:  Contract
Contract Duration:  6 months
Target Start Date:  ASAP
Work Location/Structure:  Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3x per week)

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in financial services, is looking for a skilled  Creative Project Manager  to join their team for a 6 month engagement. This project involves leading the execution of creative deliverables that support a growing business, guiding and elevating the process between internal stakeholders and in-house creative teams, resourcing, prioritizing, and managing the execution of projects within assigned verticals from beginning to end. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own, resource and manage approximately 50+ complex, concurrent projects from intake through delivery using multiple project management tools. Deliverables include emails, banner ads, landing pages, social campaigns and videos.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the team’s flow of work to ensure timely deliveries while also anticipating and mitigating potential bottlenecks. This includes prioritizing project schedules, allocating resources and balancing the workload across the team.
  • Proactively communicate project status/issues/roadblocks and shifts in priority. Provide context, impact analysis, and present solutions (be a problem solver).
  • Lead weekly meetings to communicate and track the status of each deliverable and make sure there’s proper documentation of all projects.
  • Create efficiencies in existing process, establish new process whenever needed, and ensure it is scalable.
  • Efficiently and effectively manage day-to-day problems, and communicate effectively in difficult and time sensitive situations. Understand when (and why) to escalate issues.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5-7 years of experience in-house or agency creative project management experience, preferably in a fast-paced setting.
  • Deep expertise in project management principles and characteristics, and demonstrated understanding of the creative process across digital channels. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Experience prioritizing and managing 50+ concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years in-house or agency creative project management experience, preferably in a fast-paced setting.
  • Mastery of project management principles and characteristics.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the creative process across digital channels.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced experience with Workfront and JIRA preferred.
  • A proven ability to remain calm, effective and productive under pressure. A track record of proactively solving complex problems and knowing when to escalate issues with a clear recommendation.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with creative team, legal team, marketing partners and executive leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem-solving skills.
