About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in Pharmaceuticals, is looking for a skilled Data Architect-Commercial Data Management to join their team for a 6 month engagement. This project involves managing and scaling day-to-day commercial data operations across multiple therapeutic areas. This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role focused on vendor coordination, data quality, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of the commercial data ecosystem supporting sales and analytics. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Day-to-Day Data Management: Owning commercial data management, including data refreshes, validation, and issue resolution.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinating with external data vendors (data aggregation, data warehouse, reporting/analytics) to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
- Issue Resolution: Identifying, triaging, and driving resolution of data quality and integration issues (L2/L3 escalation).
- Backlog Management: Managing and prioritizing the data enhancement backlog, translating business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensuring all data processes meet validation and IT governance standards.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience supporting pharma commercial data platforms in a hands-on role.
- Deep expertise in commercial data aggregation, master data management, data warehousing, and reporting. Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with AWS-based data platforms, including Redshift, Power BI, Veeva CRM, and Reltio. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to independently run data operations and manage multiple vendors.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience with ServiceNow (or similar) for incident/change management is preferred.
- Experience with launch readiness or scaling data for new products or affiliates.
- Consulting or contractor background in Commercial IT or Data Operations.
