Job Title: Database Engineer

Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a Database Engineer or DBA
- Deep knowledge of DBMSs (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Redshift)
- Proficiency in SQL querying and optimization techniques
- Strong understanding of AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, Redshift)
- Hands-on experience with performance tuning, schema design, and data modeling
- Familiarity with backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures
- Expertise in database security best practices
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, especially AWS and related tools
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic, high-pressure environments
Nice to Have Skills:
- AWS networking fundamentals
- Experience with Terraform Cloud and IaC workflows
- Automation and scripting skills in Python or Shell
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes for databases using tools like Bamboo or Flyway
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience in database design, development, and optimization
Other Requirements:
- Onsite in Foster City, CA (5 days/week)
- Ability to start immediately; this is an onsite role
- W2 employment only
- Relevant certifications in AWS or database management are a plus
