This role is ideal for a technically capable professional who enjoys working at the intersection of developer tools, AI enablement, technical support, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration. Rather than focusing solely on software development, you’ll help engineers successfully adopt emerging technologies and translate usage insights into measurable productivity improvements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience administering, supporting, or enabling developer-facing tools and platforms
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted coding technologies, large language models (LLMs), and AI agents
  • Knowledge of AI coding tools and their application within software development workflows
  • Experience working with developer environments such as VS Code and related integrations
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following:
  • Python
  • Go
  • Java
  • Experience with dashboarding, analytics, or monitoring platforms such as Grafana or Kibana
  • Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing and support systems
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering teams
  • Ability to translate technical issues into clear, actionable solutions

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive awareness, onboarding, and adoption of AI-powered coding tools across engineering teams
  • Support installation, configuration, and ongoing usage of the platform
  • Serve as a primary support and escalation point for engineers using the platform
  • Troubleshoot user issues and coordinate with platform teams on complex technical problems
  • Create and maintain onboarding materials, FAQs, knowledge base articles, documentation, and training resources
  • Gather developer feedback and recommend improvements to the user experience
  • Track adoption, usage patterns, engagement, and platform effectiveness
  • Build dashboards and reporting solutions that provide visibility into key performance indicators and trends
  • Analyze usage data to identify adoption challenges and opportunities to improve developer productivity
  • Partner with engineering, product, and AI platform teams on bug resolution, feature requests, and enhancements
  • Communicate insights, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
  • Help ensure platform usage aligns with security, access management, and governance requirements

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience supporting internal engineering platforms at scale
  • Experience driving adoption of new developer technologies or enterprise tools
  • Strong customer service and relationship-management skills
  • Experience creating developer enablement programs, technical documentation, or training
  • Familiarity with platform governance, access management, or security requirements
  • Experience measuring business impact through adoption metrics and usage analytics
  • Curiosity about emerging AI technologies and their practical applications in software development
  • A proactive approach to identifying issues, improving processes, and delivering measurable outcomes

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Equivalent practical experience may be considered
  • Approximately 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in developer productivity, developer tools, engineering platforms, DevOps support, or a related area

Other Requirements

  • Contract position with an approximately 9-month duration
  • Hybrid role based in San Jose, California
  • Onsite attendance required three days per week
  • W2 employment only
  • Ability to work effectively with distributed engineering, product, and platform stakeholders
  • Strong interest in helping engineering teams adopt and benefit from AI-powered development tools
