The position has responsibility for the overall administrative management of the firm’s business functions in close collaboration with the Managing Partner and Management Committee, including direct responsibility or oversight of the following:
  • Human Resources : recruitment; hiring, training, and supervision of administrative staff; management of administrative staff evaluation process; management of workflow; policies & procedures; approve timecards of non-attorney hourly staff, assist with processing payroll, maintain the weekly schedules of all firm members, and event planning, including staff appreciation events.
  • Information Technology : with outside support, ongoing maintenance and enhancement of computer system and all office equipment.
  • Facilities Management :  landlord/tenant relations; office management; office equipment and supplies; onsite and offsite file management; safety and security protocols.
  • Insurance and Compliance : ensuring the firm has suitable insurance coverage in all areas and meets all statutory regulations and filings.
  • Marketing :  website; maintenance of attorney profiles; professional announcements; event sponsorship/advertising; marketing gifts.
  • Supervision and development of professional staff who support the above-listed functions .

Ideal candidates will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration
  • Demonstrated record of success in small- to mid-size firms
  • Strong communication
  • Supervisory experience
  • Planning, organizational, and financial skills.
