As an Electrical Design Engineer in Mountain View, CA, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and troubleshooting advanced electrical solutions that power tomorrow’s innovations.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and develop power, control, mixed-signal, and high-speed interconnect circuits aligned with rigorous system specifications.
  • Perform hands-on board bring-up, verification, and integration, tackling real-world hardware challenges with precision.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans to characterize and validate system and board-level performance.
  • Apply industry best practices such as SI/PI and DfX to ensure optimal product reliability, manufacturability, and quality.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and contract manufacturers to drive project success.
  • Contribute to design reviews and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design notes and test reports.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and components to continuously enhance product capabilities.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design using Altium or equivalent EDA tools.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware debugging, signal testing, and lab experiments.
  • Familiarity with PLM systems such as Arena.
  • Strong understanding of high-speed interfaces like PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, or SerDes.
  • Solid knowledge of Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), and best practices in design.
  • Ability to script using Python or similar languages for automation and testing purposes.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Background in networking, photonics, or high-performance hardware industries.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing and assembly methodologies.
  • Knowledge of standard electronic manufacturing test processes.
  • Experience working with complex high-speed interface standards and related design challenges.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience designing sophisticated electrical systems.
  • Demonstrated success in high-speed circuit design and hardware development.

Other Requirements:

  • This is an onsite role based in Mountain View, CA; onsite presence is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, communicate technical ideas clearly, and adapt to evolving project needs.
