Engineering Technician

As an Engineering Technician, you will be at the forefront of building, testing, and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems that power innovative aerial delivery solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, rework, and modify intricate electromechanical assemblies, wiring harnesses, and PCBAs based on detailed engineering diagrams.
- Perform precision soldering, PCB component replacement, and high-voltage/high-power connections to ensure hardware integrity.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot hardware test fixtures; utilize command-line tools and engineering software to flash and configure systems.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for hardware failures, review test logs, and communicate actionable insights to engineering teams.
- Collaborate closely with specialized teams in avionics, ground systems, testing, and powertrain to build robust, mission-critical drone hardware.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in fine-pitch soldering, surface-mount technology (SMT) rework, and harness fabrication.
- Ability to interpret complex wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency with command-line interface tools and hardware diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Background in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or related high-tech environments (e.g., Tesla, Zoox).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in assembly and PCB work.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with high-voltage, high-power battery systems and powertrain testing.
- Mechanical fixture building, test rig setup, or ground support hardware familiarity.
- Expertise in surface-mount technology (SMT) rework under magnification.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Certified or experienced in hands-on electromechanical assembly, ideally in fast-paced hardware development environments.
- Relevant experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial robotics.

- Onsite/hybrid work format in the SF Bay Area.
- Ability to handle physical tasks related to hardware assembly and testing.
