  • Ability to support laboratory readiness by maintaining inventory, organized workspaces, tools, and test and measurement equipment.
  • Ability to perform firmware updates on embedded hardware systems in laboratory and field environments.
  • Ability to carry out servicing and repair operations safely and methodically after appropriate training.
  • High-voltage and low-voltage safety training.
  • Passion for electric mobility, autonomous mobility, and electrical systems development.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with manual metal fabrication tools and processes, including milling, lathe work, drilling, punching, pressing, bandsawing, shearing, or welding.
  • Familiarity with TIG and MIG welding.
  • Experience with 3D design tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
  • Through-hole and SMA soldering or rework experience.
  • Exposure to EMI/EMC testing techniques.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified Standards Expert certification.
  • High-voltage certification or additional high-voltage training.
  • Soldering certification.
  • Experience supporting battery testing, teardown, and analysis.
  • Experience collaborating with design engineers to develop test systems tailored to engineering needs.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or trade school certificate in mechatronics, electronics, automotive engineering, electrical engineering technology, or another relevant field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Four or more years of experience related to automotive wire harnesses, electric vehicle systems, power electronics, or a similar technical discipline.

Other Requirements

  • Work arrangement: Onsite in Foster City, California.
  • Travel: Local and domestic travel may be required occasionally.
  • Employment type: W2 only.
