Financial Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst

Overview:
This position is instrumental in driving the company’s financial planning, reporting, and budgeting processes, focusing on operating expenses and COGS. You will engage in variance analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting, helping to ensure financial accuracy and strategic decision-making. Required Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis, or cost accounting
- Proficiency with Workday Adaptive Planning or similar planning tools
- Strong understanding of cost accounting terminology, including BOM, COGS, Overhead, Warranty, Scrap, Obsolescence, Freight
- Advanced Excel skills, especially financial modeling
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably QAD
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with financial modeling software such as Tableau, Hyperion
- Capex management experience
- JE preparation expertise
- Exposure to regulated industries like biotech or medical devices
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Experience in manufacturing or biotech sectors is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Onsite presence required Tuesdays and Wednesdays in San Jose
- Ability to support a contractual period of approximately 6 months, with potential extension through April or longer
- Flexibility around holiday shutdowns, including Thanksgiving and Christmas
