Join Our Team as a Fleet Support Engineer – Drive Innovation in Autonomous Vehicle Technology

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Support Engineer to be a vital part of our Vehicle Development team. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the reliability and performance of a pioneering fleet in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a key technical expert, you will ensure our fleet operates at peak uptime, troubleshooting complex systems and collaborating cross-functionally to implement innovative solutions.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, with expertise in perception systems and sensors
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Automotive Engineering
- Hands-on experience with low/high voltage circuits, UDS, and troubleshooting safety protocols
- Deep understanding of hardware and software system architecture supporting vehicle operations
- Ability to interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and connector pinouts
- Strong root cause analysis skills through log review and data interpretation
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
- Willingness to work overtime as needed and support occasional travel within the U.S.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with electric vehicle technology
- Remote vehicle troubleshooting support experience
- Familiarity with Linux, Python, and software-hardware interfacing
- Knowledge of networking protocols including TCP and socket programming
- Experience with diagnostics tools and fleet-level data processing
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Automotive Engineering
- Extensive hands-on experience in perception system troubleshooting and sensor validation
- Proven ability to develop diagnostic procedures and troubleshooting guides
Other Requirements:
- Onsite work in San Francisco, CA, with shift flexibility (Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM)
- Occasional travel within the United States to support various operational sites
- Prior experience in autonomous vehicle or related high-tech environments preferred
