ABOUT THE POSITION
The company is seeking an experienced R&D Accounting Manager to help design, scale, and operate infrastructure and R&D accounting processes. This role sits within the Finance & Accounting organization and partners closely with Accounting leadership, Strategic Finance, Engineering, Product, and Data teams. The position plays a critical role in ensuring compliant financial reporting, proper capitalization of internally developed software, and scalable processes to support rapid growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own month-end close and financial reporting for infrastructure and R&D-related costs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Develop, document, and maintain software capitalization processes in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 350)

Partner cross-functionally to identify capitalizable projects and remain aligned on infrastructure initiatives

Improve reporting quality, vendor billing accuracy, and data reliability through process enhancements and automation

Perform technical accounting research and support audit readiness, including memos and audit deliverables

Manage credits, refunds, and contractual compliance with infrastructure and technology vendors
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting and in-house technology experience

Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with deep experience in ASC 350 and software capitalization

CPA (or equivalent) required

Builder mindset with experience designing scalable, automated accounting processes in high-growth environments

Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to partner with technical stakeholders

Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and familiarity with modern infrastructure or AI-related cost structures
