Title:  Instructional Designer
Job Type:  Contract
Contract Length:  6 months (potential to extend)
Target Start Date:  January 5th
Work Location/Structure:  100% remote

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in healthcare technology, is looking for a skilled  Instructional Designer  to join their team for a 6-month contract engagement with the potential to extend. This project involves looking at their existing e-learning library and rebuilding/refreshing what is there, applying core instructional design principles to create high-quality, engaging content that supports customer success and deepens product understanding. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Design and develop comprehensive online and instructor-led training content, with a focus on rebuilding and refreshing the existing e-learning library.
  • Interact with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), content developers, and stakeholders to gather learning requirements and define course goals.
  • Apply proven adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to all learning plans and asset development.
  • Create role-based scenario content that directly supports customer success.
  • Assist with Learning Management System (LMS) administration and content publishing, and manage various training assets to stay organized and on-target with department goals.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience designing and developing e-learning software content.
  • Deep expertise in current e-learning development tools, including Articulate Storyline, and familiarity with ancillary creation tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage projects, and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals, with experience in beginning to end e-learning models.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design and development methodologies and proven success designing and developing learning programs for global technical audiences.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to manage stakeholders across multiple disciplines and provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
