Job Title: IT Program & Business Services Manager

Overview:

In this position, you'll serve as a strategic partner to the Director of IT, orchestrating complex projects, overseeing departmental operations, and ensuring seamless communication across teams and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute the IT project portfolio, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budgets.
  • Track project milestones, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks through regular review sessions.
  • Oversee departmental operations including budget management, vendor relations, contract renewals, and procurement.
  • Act as a primary liaison to stakeholders, representing the department in various meetings and ensuring follow-through on decisions.
  • Plan, assign, and prioritize work for project teams and IT staff, providing guidance and ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management, technology operations, or business/operations management.
  • Proven success in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing external vendors.
  • Solid project management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, operations, and service delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to executives and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment on operational matters.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • PMP, CAPM, or other project management certifications.
  • Experience with departmental budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, etc.).
  • Prior experience in hybrid work environments and managing remote teams.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced certifications preferred.
  • 5+ years of applicable experience in IT or business operations, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.

Other Requirements:

  • Location: Walnut Creek, CA – Hybrid model (3 days on-site per week).
  • Availability to start ASAP.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
