About the Opportunity
Our client, a leader in the construction and materials industry, is looking for a skilled JDE Business Systems Analyst to join their team for a 12-month contract-to-hire engagement. This project involves acting as the system owner for their JDE 9.2 environment, focusing on daily operations, requirements gathering, and strategic projects to enhance the platform's capabilities. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional to ensure the stability and future readiness of a critical enterprise system.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- System Ownership: Operate as the day-to-day system owner and Business Systems Analyst for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2, focusing heavily on the Financials and Human Resources modules.
- Vendor Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison and coordinator with third-party vendors for system changes, development, and support, effectively translating business needs into technical requirements.
- System Readiness: Update processes, refine test scripts, and perform necessary clean-up (including security role management) to prepare the JDE environment for a planned upgrade in 2027.
- Requirements Gathering: Proactively engage with business stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize requirements for new features, process improvements, and regulatory compliance (e.g., Open Enrollment).
- We would also consider a candidate with the following experience as just a 12 month contract: Lead the implementation of new modules, including setting up the Fixed and Mobile Equipment Management module from scratch to manage all company equipment. This role doesn't need to be onsite.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years of experience as a JDE Business Systems Analyst or functional consultant with broad, general knowledge of the JDE platform.
- Deep expertise in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, specifically with version 9.2 and strong functional knowledge of the Financials and Human Resources modules. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, effectively managing project priorities, and coordinate development/support efforts with external vendors.
- Experience with requirements gathering, process documentation, and developing test scripts for large-scale ERP systems.
- Configuration experience within JDE is highly desirable, particularly with setting up new modules or performing security clean-up.
