What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate directly with stakeholders to turn their needs into functional, scalable solutions.
  • Enhance existing applications for production readiness, focusing on security, authentication, and data integrity.
  • Write automated tests, improve CI/CD pipelines, and manage deployments on AWS.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve bugs, leveraging logs and monitoring tools.
  • Integrate deeply with Jira APIs, ensuring resilience against rate limits and partial failures.
  • Document your work to enable smooth onboarding and future enhancements.
  • Partner with team members prototyping with AI tools, transforming ideas into supported solutions.

Required Skills:

  • 1–2 years of professional software engineering experience, including internships, open-source projects, or a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with React or similar frameworks to craft user interfaces.
  • Experience with Python or Node.js/TypeScript in backend development.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and IAM.
  • Strong understanding of Git workflows, code reviews, and collaborative development.
  • Knowledge of RBAC, software architecture, data modeling, and admin tooling.
  • Comfort working directly with non-technical teammates, explaining technical concepts clearly.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience working with AI-assisted development tools.
  • Knowledge of building resilient API integrations, especially with Jira.
  • Exposure to cloud security best practices.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Proven track record through internships, contributions to open-source projects, or personal projects.

Other Requirements:

  • This position is hybrid, located in Foster City, CA, with an emphasis on collaboration and pairing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Passion for building efficient, user-friendly systems and a proactive mindset.
