Lab Technician

What You'll Do:
- Support process development and wafer integration teams by executing experiments, logging detailed data, and troubleshooting complex processes.
- Operate advanced metrology and inspection tools such as AFM, MFM, Interferometers, SEM, and high-magnification optical microscopes.
- Identify and swiftly resolve issues that could affect product quality or throughput, monitoring tool performance and reacting proactively to out-of-control situations.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and pursue alternative solutions to meet project objectives.
- Work in cleanroom and semi-cleanroom environments, maintaining stringent standards of safety and cleanliness.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, operate independently, and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Required Skills:
- Experience operating metrology and inspection tools including AFM, MFM, Interferometers, SEM, and optical microscopy.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze and resolve process or equipment issues.
- Excellent documentation and data logging capabilities.
- Ability to adapt and work effectively in cleanroom environments.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with semiconductor or IC manufacturing processes.
- Background in magnetic read/write head slider fabrication.
- Familiarity with process development in high-tech manufacturing settings.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree or higher in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment involving metrology tools and process troubleshooting.
Other Requirements:
- This position is onsite in San Jose, CA, requiring five days per week presence.
- Ability to work independently and handle dynamic project priorities.
- Willingness to work in controlled cleanroom and semi-cleanroom environments.
- This role is W2 only, with a markup fee of 41%.
