Job Title: Lab Technician – Semiconductor & Optical Assembly Specialist

Overview:
Join a cutting-edge cleanroom team dedicated to pioneering microelectronic and optoelectronic innovations. As a Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in high-precision assembly processes within a dynamic environment that bridges electrical and optical technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects on a short-term contract with the potential to grow into a long-term, integral member of a forward-thinking team transitioning to a new facility in Mountain View.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in cleanroom environments
  • Solid background in semiconductor microelectronics, with hands-on expertise in electrical and optical assembly
  • Demonstrated experience in microelectronic and optoelectronic assembly techniques
  • Skilled in flip-chip and optical assembly processes
  • Strong attention to detail in repetitive, precise assembly tasks
  • Basic familiarity with cleanroom protocols and safety procedures

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with SolidWorks (3D Modeling)
  • Knowledge of 3D printing technologies
  • Exposure to hybrid semiconductor and optics projects
  • Familiarity with microfabrication or advanced assembly tools

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Technical degree or relevant certifications in electronics, microelectronics, optics, or related fields
  • Prior experience working in a cleanroom setting, particularly within semiconductor or optoelectronic industries
  • At least 1-3 years of hands-on assembly experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work onsite at the current Palo Alto lab through the remainder of the year, with future relocation to Mountain View upon facility opening
  • Willingness to commit to a 3-month contract initially, with potential conversion to a permanent or contract-to-hire role for the right candidate
  • Must adhere to all cleanroom safety and protocol standards
