Outgoing Quality Control Technician

What You'll Do:
- Operate structural-test equipment on incoming materials, executing load and stress protocols.
- Conduct precise part inspections, utilizing a broad range of measurement tools.
- Perform detailed inspections of composite parts, such as carbon fiber, to identify defects or deviations.
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, including GD&T callouts, to ensure compliance.
- Define and refine inspection procedures, selecting appropriate measurement tools for each task.
- Record inspection data accurately within our quality management system, maintaining strict traceability.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering and Suppliers to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by optimizing inspection processes and standards.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience with hand tools for precision measurement, such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong visual, dimensional, and functional inspection skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Experience with composite materials inspection (bonus points).
- Background in regulated manufacturing environments such as aerospace, medical devices, or automotive industries.
- Proficient in documenting data accurately within quality management systems.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Hands-on experience with composite materials, particularly carbon fiber inspection.
- Additional certifications in quality control or related fields.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Relevant technical education or certifications in quality inspection or related disciplines.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting with a focus on aerospace, medical, or automotive components.
Other Requirements:
- This is an onsite role based in South San Francisco.
- Immediate start with a contract duration of 6 months, with a possibility of extension.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail.
