About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in manufacturing, is looking for a skilled Payroll Analyst to join their team for a 3+ month engagement. This project involves ensuring payroll is processed with speed and accuracy, serving as a liaison to employees and third-party payroll vendors, and auditing employee pay records. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring payroll is processed with speed and accuracy.
- Serving as liaison to employees and with third-party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company-specific pay policies.
- Auditing employee pay records and reconciling totals by department, location, country, etc.
- Coordinating third-party payroll system implementations and upgrades.
- Interpreting pay policies (e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, union contracts, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensuring appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.
- Verifying compliance with federal and state payroll requirements; staying current with changes in the law.
- Assisting with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filings, and related documentation.
- Documenting payroll processes and procedures; training payroll department staff.
- Backing up those who perform specialized tasks or activities such as stock option exercises, SEC document filing, or sales commission calculation reviews.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Deep expertise in ADP Workforce Now (WFN) experience of more than 3 years, including processing, navigating, and running reports. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with payroll system implementations and upgrades, and interpreting pay policies.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
