Job Title: Payroll Consultant – UKG Expert

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing complex, unionized payroll with multiple Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and T&E processing
- Extensive and proven UKG payroll system experience, with a strong technical understanding
- Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with teams and interpret CBAs accurately
- Ability to handle biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls for approximately 500 to 5,000 employees
- Experience managing payroll within transit or similar unionized industries is highly preferred
Nice to Have Skills:
- Familiarity with UKG Workforce Management module
- Prior experience working within transit or transportation sectors, especially in larger organizations like Transdev or equivalent competitors
- Knowledge of union regulations and collective bargaining processes within California and Western Massachusetts
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline preferred
- 5+ years of hands-on payroll management experience, ideally in unionized settings with complex CBAs
Other Requirements:
- This position offers both remote and hybrid work options, with preference for candidates based near Boston.
- Duration: 6+ months with potential for extension or transition to permanent hire.
- Ideal start date: ASAP, through at least March 2027.
- Hours: 8 am – 5 pm EST, with flexibility during California payroll weeks to accommodate outside hours.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, unionized environment, referencing and adhering to multiple CBAs.
- Ability and willingness to travel if needed (not specified but may be required).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex payroll scenarios without significant onboarding.
