We are seeking an experienced payroll specialist to process weekly payroll for union staff and bi-weekly payroll for non-union employees. Strong ADP Workforce Now experience required.
Key responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll in ADP Workforce Now
- Review, and validate timecards for accuracy, approvals, and contract compliance
- Apply union and non-union payroll rules, including overtime and premiums
- Calculate wages, benefits deductions, garnishments, and other payroll adjustments
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and wage-and-hour regulations
- Collaborate with the Finance team to reconcile payroll reports and prepare cash requirement to fund payroll, 401K, and medical premium
- Collaborate with HR and Finance on new hires, terminations, leaves, and payroll changes
- Must have hands-on work experience with ADP Workforce Now (required)
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience
- Experience processing payroll for both union and non-union employees
- Strong understanding of payroll taxes, wage-and-our laws, and benefits calculations
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and validating timecards
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in nonprofit organization
- Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and union payroll rules
- Experience supporting multi-state payroll
- Experience with hybrid and remote payroll
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus
