About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading innovator in the biotechnology industry, is seeking a highly organized, execution-focused IT Project/Program Manager to lead Commercial IT launch readiness across multiple therapeutic areas.

In this high-impact contract role, you will serve as the central coordination point across IT, Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and external vendor partners. You will play a pivotal role in orchestrating all IT workstreams required to enable successful commercial product launches, ensuring critical systems are fully deployed, validated, and operational on schedule.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

  • Program & Project Leadership: Lead and manage all IT launch readiness initiatives across assigned therapeutic areas. Build detailed project plans and establish governance structures (status meetings, RAID logs, steering committees) to ensure visibility, proactive risk mitigation, and on-time milestone delivery.

  • System Implementation & Readiness: Oversee the implementation and onboarding of core Commercial IT systems, including Veeva CRM, Veeva Align, PromoMats, Events Management, Master Data Management (MDM), Commercial Data Warehouse, Market Access tools (FRM, PAL, copay/hub data integrations), and Adobe Marketo.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with IT, Commercial, Medical, Market Access, and Field teams to ensure technical solutions align seamlessly with commercial launch strategies and business outcomes.

  • Vendor & Integration Management: Manage vendor timelines, deliverables, SOWs, and SLAs. Oversee complex data integrations across CRM, MDM, and data warehouse systems to support launch analytics, reporting dashboards, and KPIs.

  • Compliance & Post-Launch Support: Partner with system owners to ensure systems are validated, compliant, and launch-ready. Drive post-launch transition plans to operational teams and establish repeatable IT launch frameworks.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

  • 7+ years of IT Project or Program Management experience within the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry.

  • Proven track record leading multi-workstream Commercial launch readiness programs involving cross-functional teams and external vendors.

  • Required Technical System Experience:

    • Core Commercial: Veeva CRM, Veeva Align, PromoMats, Events Management

    • Data Platforms: Master Data Management (HCP/HCO, Affiliations, Account Hierarchies), Commercial Data Warehouse, Data Aggregation

    • Market Access & Marketing: FRM/PAL tools, Copay/Hub data integrations, Adobe Marketo

  • Deep Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of system implementation lifecycles and Commercial IT data flows (HCP/HCO, payer, specialty pharmacy, and patient data).

  • Tool Proficiency: Advanced expertise in project management software (Smartsheet, MS Project, or Jira).

  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or business/technical field required. PMP or Agile certification highly preferred.
