About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is looking for a skilled Technical Program Manager to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves supporting an expanding engineering team, specifically within their mobile development squads. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly, especially during a peak development and testing phase.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Identify and resolve blockers: Act as a Scrum Master for mobile development squads, actively identifying and addressing impediments to progress.
- Improve reporting and status updates: Develop and implement more efficient reporting mechanisms and provide clear, concise status updates to internal and external partners.
- Run sprints and manage tickets: Facilitate and manage sprint ceremonies, and ensure efficient tracking and management of project tickets (e.g., in Jira).
- Generate insights and reports: Analyze project data to derive actionable insights and create comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
- Coordinate between Design and Engineering: Bridge the communication gap between design and engineering teams, ensuring alignment and smooth workflow.
- Support existing TPM processes: Work within established processes, supporting the current TPM in managing mobile client development, agile, Jira, and Scrum practices.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar Technical Program Manager or Scrum Master role.
- Deep expertise in Agile methodologies, Scrum, Jira, and mobile client development processes. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with creating tickets, dashboards, and managing data effectively (e.g., Excel).
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team and external partners.
- Preferred experience in the automotive industry and with mobile app development.
